Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Free Website Audit (the "Service"), operated by [Legal entity, TODO] ("we", "us", or "our"), handles information. Free Website Audit is a free, interactive website audit scorecard and lead scoring calculator. We designed both tools to run entirely in your own browser.

The short version

  • The scorecard and calculator run client-side in your browser. The boxes you tick are never sent to us.
  • Nothing you audit is uploaded or stored. Closing the tab clears it.
  • The only personal information we collect is the email address you submit if you choose to join the waitlist.
  • We keep cookies and analytics to a minimum, and you can ask us to delete your waitlist entry at any time.

1. How the Service works

The interactive scorecard and the lead scoring calculator run entirely in your browser. As you tick boxes, the score and verdict are computed locally on your device. Your answers, the sites you audit, and any prospect details you have in mind are never transmitted to us. There is no account, and there is nothing for us to store, because the tools do the work on your machine.

2. Information we collect

Scorecard and calculator activity

None. The selections you make in the scorecard and calculator stay in your browser tab and are not sent to us or saved on a server. Refreshing or closing the tab resets them.

Waitlist information

If you join the waitlist for the automated version, we store the email address you submit so we can let you know when it is available. That email address is the only personal information we collect, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.

3. Cookies and analytics

We keep cookies and analytics minimal. We use only what is needed to operate the website and to understand high-level, aggregate usage (such as page views) so we can improve the Service. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it.

4. How we use information

  • To provide and maintain the website and its free tools.
  • To respond to your requests and provide support.
  • To send you Service-related messages, such as waitlist or availability updates.
  • To keep the Service secure and to prevent abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your information. We may share limited information with service providers who help us operate the Service (for example, hosting or email delivery), and only to the extent needed to provide the Service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep waitlist information for as long as your waitlist entry is active, or as needed to meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your waitlist entry at any time by contacting us, and we will do so within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain it by law. Scorecard and calculator activity is never stored by us, so there is nothing on our side to delete.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Request a portable copy of your information.
  • Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information in this way.

You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we store. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated where reasonable.

11. Contact
